Inspired by a variety of Amiga and arcade classics including Vital Light, Arkanoid, Space Invaders and Tetris, Huenison is a frantic-paced hybrid of shoot 'em up and colour-matching puzzle game presented in a neo-retro, unique dot-matrix visual style. Piloting a small mobile cannon back and forth across the bottom of a well, you must cycle through your six coloured beams, firing at the descending onslaught of corresponding coloured blocks. Missed shots bring the deadly zapper closer to your cannon, and missed blocks raise the ground they touch.
With 25 levels, multiple boss battles, 9 different game modes, kick-ass chiptunes and a ludicrous variety of different block types, Huenison is all about racking up bonuses and score chaining. Your goal? To defeat the game and achieve top position on the online highscore table!
Over two and a half years in development, Huenison was designed and coded for AmigaOS 4 and Windows by Simone Bevilacqua of Retream and published by RGCD.
A cut-down, five-level trial version of the game is available for download from the Huenison website.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 500 MHz, 32 bit CPU · 32 bit graphics card · 16 bit sound card · 12 MB RAM · 32 MB disk space.
The AmigaOS 4 version also includes the Windows install within the same ZIP archive.
Huenison is currently only available to buy as a download, but there are plans to release a glass-mastered CD version packaged in a DVD case with full colour printed insert and manual. Everyone who purchases the downloadable version will be issued with a £2.99 discount code to put towards purchasing the physical release.
